The Wedding Is HER Day, Pal

She doesn’t even really want him there.  She’d get married without him if she could.       

Everything’s about her, as it should be.  Her dress costs hundreds, often thousands, and afterward it’s sealed, saved and treasured for life. 

His outfit is rented and has to be back at the shop on Monday because another guy needs it next weekend.

Fifty years later she can show her dress and say, “I got married in that.”  If he can do that, he’s holding underwear.
